The #1 Easiest Way to Mix Prints

Top - F21 (Similar HERE)
Skirt - H&M (Similar HERE)
Necklace - t+j designs
Heels - BCBG
Blazer - Gibson
Bag - Marc by Marc Jacobs

The #1 Easiest Way to Mix Prints - Pick two separate prints in the same color family.  Here I chose very simple black + white.  But mix it up with blue stripes + blue paisley print or yellow polka dots + yellow ikat print.

Interesting Fact about this Blouse - The very first time I threw this blouse on, I was in a huge hurry...plus I'm just kind of a mess in the mornings.  I didn't realize until I was driving home from work that I was wearing it backwards.  BUT...I have worn in backwards on purpose ever since that day including in these photos.  I think it looks better (I'm bringing Kris Kross back, yo!)

So are you mixing prints this season?

Love this look!

I've been looking for a polka dot skirt, and I think a pencil skirt might be the way to go...

Also, anything with anchors is a love as I grew up around boats and water.

Love that top! I am starting to mix patterns myself. I have a post coming up tomorrow that I mixed a floral skirt with a chevron top.

LOVE this!! I am definitely a print mixing novice - I'm just starting to try it out using a printed scarf against a printed skirt - I haven't gone full fledged printed bottom with printed top! This advice is certainly most helpful. I also love the little anchors all over your top - I'm a little nutty about nautical. :)

Haha, I'm wearing a mix of black and white prints right now (and one is polka dots)! I agree, print mixing is so easy to do when the prints are in the same color. I love this look, and that blouse is too cute!
