Which Polka Dot Style Would You Choose?

Every photo on this blog features styles that I actually wear...
usually the same day I take the photo.

You may be thinking, "Cheese and crackers Marion!  You mean you actually wear this stuff in public?  Around people?"  And my answer is "Yes...yes I do."

This week's look is having a little fun with polka dots and showing you how switching out a blazer can dramatically change the entire look + feel.  I wore one of these "in public" and received a few strange looks along with a few compliments.  Which do you think I wore?

STYLE TIP: Mix up prints easily by staying in the same color family!

Black Blazer - Gibson (Purchase HERE)
Striped Blazer - Forever 21 (Similar HERE and HERE)
Bag - Marc by Marc Jacbos (Purchase HERE)
Blouse - J.Crew (Purchase HERE)
Shoes - Chinese Laundry (similar ON SALE HERE or HERE)
Pencil Skirt - H&M (available in stores.  Similar HERE)
Ring - H&M
So which is your favorite?

UMM, how about they both look amazing?! I guess I love the one with the stripy blazer the most though as I love mixed prints as well <3

You look amazing as usual :)

Eek!! I love them both pretty girl! They're like a party for my eyes lol. Perfect for a lame old Monday if you ask me. The pink shoes REALLY set it off. I need to break down and get myself a stripped blazer. Soon :)

Have a good day!

Marion,
I love both looks, and those shoes are fabulous. I'm in love with that skirt, how long ago did you purchased it?

At first I was like..Definitely the black, SAFE, blazer look, but the more I looked, the more I loved them both! You can do no wrong. EVER! Please dress me....everyday.

I'm safer! Love the hot pink shoes with the look. Eyeing a polka dot dress, may need to find hot pink shoes for the sassy touch. Have a fine week Marion.

I really love both looks! I think the black blazer is definitely work appropriate without turning too many heads!

I LOVE the Sassy look! What a great idea to go opposite polka dots on top and bottom! You are a GENIUS friend!!! Such an inspiration....going to go take my sharpie and dot some white shirt now just to have some polka dots! ;)

My first reaction... "safe - work" look, for sure. But... I actually think I like the "sassy - weekend" better. You rock!

BTW... the pink shoes... perfect with this ensemble.

Wow! I love you in these looks. I totally agree the safe is for work (depending on what you do) but love how you're working the sassy! SO FUN!

I really love this Marion and how you showed two different looks and you're so right how it's just about mixing and keeping it in the same color family. :) I'd defintiely wear both, but probably the one with the black solid blazer too just because it works for the office and going out. SO cute on you and the pink pumps are PERFECT!

Being the super safe dresser that I am, I natuarally gravitated to the black blazer but after seeing how awesome the other outfit is, I'm truly torn. Oh I love that you help me step out of my comfort zone. Thanks doll!

I love them both! But I'm not sure I would be brave enough to wear with the stripes on top of polka dots. I do however love it on you and adore those pink shoes!!

I love the dots & stripes together - so fun, especially with the hot pink shoes!

I'm SO excited that you featured the b&w striped blazer again! (I just bought it at F21 this weekend - I never would have given it a second glance if I hadn't seen it on your blog). I love BOTH looks for different reasons. I'd be tempted to do the "weekend" look at work, just to see my co-workers reactions.

Either way, you are looking fabulous as always!
Cheers!

I love the polka dots with the striped blazer...but I also wear leopard print with everything. So, I might be a little pattern crazy.

I LOVE the sassy look on you, it totally works! But I'm more on the safe side. Either way, great outfits! It's amazing what a difference a blazer makes!

I love SASSY! And I totally think you wore that (and ROCKED it). You look fabulous as usual, and I am lamenting my lack of enough polka dots, also as usual. :)

While both of these outfits are fantastic (especially with those pink shoes) I love your "weekend" version with the striped blazer, it's fabulous!

I'm a little timid when it comes to fashion so I like the safe look. I love the pop of color with the shoes though in both outfits.

I love the juxtaposition of the polka dot blouse and the striped blazer! It's so eye catching.

They're both fab, but I'm all over the sassy look!

LOVE the pink shoes! I think I like the solid black jacket look best, thinking from a "I can recreate that" perspective. The striped blazer looks great on you though. You pull it off well!

Karen (littlepiecefnb) said...

Both look great on you! I can definitely see the sassy look turning more heads though!
